About Us
TAWÂW - WELCOME
Thank you for stopping by our shop. We are Carol and Cindy and we are Metis artists. We are located in Calgary, Alberta and our family is originally from the Lac La Biche area. We are Cree Metis and our father and grandparents spoke Nêhiyawêwin (the Cree Language). Unfortunately, we did not learn our language growing up and now we are dedicated to learning and sharing it with others. Most of our products are named in Nêhiyawêwin to share our language with you all!
Our Logo
The meaning of our logo; the infinity symbols represents our Métis heritage. The two lines on the infinity represent the two sisters Carol and Cindy, the owners of Three Sisters Soap. The heart represents our sister Karen who was called home by Creator in January 2023. She loved pink and will always be in our hearts.
The three sisters are also known in a number of Indigenous communities, as corn, squash and beans. When planted side by side, these three crops help each other during growth, resulting in better yields at harvest. The three sisters was a perfect metaphor to represent our sisterhood and the support and love we had for each other.
Our Products
We make all our soaps in a good way with all natural ingredients. We make small batches in our home and each soap inspired by Mother Nature.
Creating brings us closer to our culture and we offer other products that we have created in our store.
Announcement
Our lotion bars are made with all-natural ingredients and love! We take a break from selling them during warm weather since they can melt in the heat. Check back in the Fall for these wonderful bars.
